Since about a month, time permitted, I have been experimenting in two premises:
1) How I could add extra functionality on Broadband Prime that would be meaningful and useful to you, and
2) What type of information aggregation & filtering, blog monitoring and other useful tools are available to make my pursuit more productive.
- Feed Format: I have added some interactivity to the feed. You can now email the story to your colleagues or email me directly from the feed. You can also bookmark (via Delicious) the story. And if you find it worthy and want to share it with others just use Digg or StumbleUpon!
- Post Format: I have enabled Sphere’s contextually relevant content tool to help locating similar or related content. Click on “SPHERE: RELATED CONTENT” found at the bottom left side of the post’s frame. In many instances it will give you some very helpful leads. Unfortunately this option can not be embedded in the feed so that you can directly access it from there. Therefore, if you read something you like and want to check if more exists in selected web publications (check sphere’s web site) you will have to visit the site. Click on the article’s title in your feed for that. Also, the “Share This” button at the lower end enables you to share an individual post to a greater variety of social networks.
- Right Side Pane (1): I will maintain a list with pointers to the tools I most frequently use for this blog and my work in general. I call it Icon Alley which strangely rimes so nicely with Silicon Valley. I believe you’ll find some of these tools useful too.
- Right Side Pane (2): I have also added Blogger’s Followers gadget. By following this blog you will get updates on new content directly to your blogger account. Also, adding yourself in this list will be in many respects a thumbs-up for the content of this blog and will certainly be humbly appreciated! Last and not least, it may serve as a reference for those with similar interests with the topics covered in this blog. Lifting up your anonymity may not always be such a bad thing!
- Right Side Pane (3): Finally, under MY WEB 2.0 you can get a glimpse of my Alter-Ego on social webs. I share much of the stuff I read and like in my Google and delicious accounts so you might want to check out these two. And by the way, why don’t you follow me on twitter so that I can follow you back?!
That’s it for now. If you have any suggestions or ideas on how the site could be further improved, or what you might expect more from it email me, I want to know about it!
